AHS has a team of experts in pre-colonial Native American, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th-century periods who work together to accurately identify and interpret the wide variety of archaeological sites typically found in an archaeological survey. It is often difficult to predict what kinds of buried sites may be located in a project area. To conduct an archaeological survey efficiently, to produce the best understanding of archaeological resources uncovered, and to prepare an effective impact avoidance or mitigation plan, archaeologists have to be prepared for anything.
