Expertise

AHS’s multidisciplinary staff has the expertise and the experience to manage virtually any kind of archaeological site or historic resource. Our highly experienced archaeologists are National Park Service-qualified specialists in pre-colonial Native American archaeology, colonial and post-colonial archaeology, industrial archaeology, and maritime and underwater archaeology. Our National Park Service-qualified historians, industrial historians, and architectural historians have extensive experience in documenting historic houses, mills and factories, historic bridges, railroad features, maritime structures such as wharfs and dikes, and historic landscapes and cemeteries.

Achieving excellence in cultural resource management (CRM) projects often requires an interdisciplinary approach, because they typically involve a variety of archaeological and historical resources. Our broad and deep expertise ensures that clients requiring an Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plan (ICRMP) can have AHS produce the entire document.
